One of CGWE’s Reading Room projects at Burqa Babo School is strengthening educational opportunities for children in rural Oromia, Ethiopia. As part of this effort, CGWE provided a printer to a local rural school—an essential resource that is transforming how students learn and are assessed.

The printer enables the school to scan, print, and copy materials, allowing students to take written exams and access learning resources that were previously unavailable. Beyond supporting students at the school, this resource also allows the institution to offer printing services to nearby schools, extending the benefit across the wider community. By investing in practical tools like this, CGWE is helping build shared resources that support education, collaboration, and long-term community development.
We are also pleased to announce the successful completion of the reading room maintenance project at Burqa Babo School. The project involved essential block maintenance and the installation of a new window for the reading room, creating a brighter and more conducive learning environment.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Nekemte Rotary Club for their invaluable partnership in facilitating this project. The success was celebrated together with the school’s dedicated staff, enthusiastic students, and the wider community.
