The ongoing Dabaree/reciprocity program celebration in Wayu Tuka district was successfully held in October 2025, highlighting CGWE’s use of Dabaree —a traditional economic practice rooted in reciprocity—to improve the lives of women and children in Ethiopia’s Oromia region. Through the program, women and their families receive a heifer cow along with animal care-taking instruction, leading to meaningful and lasting improvements in their livelihoods, health, and the family’s overall well-being.
