Lifting Communities by empowering women through reciprocity
As always, it is an honor to receive donations from the Rotary District Governor Mary Jane Shackelford. Her smile, energy, support, love, and Woo Hoo excitement always brighten the room and create a massive impact. CGWE is grateful to have a partner like Rotary Clubs.
While empowering women, we at CGWE continue creating reading corners in rural Oromia, Ethiopia for children to practice reading and writing. As always, we are grateful for the Nekemte Rotary Club volunteers, people in the community cooperating and serving refreshments, students, and teachers working hard together for Baataa Basaqaa Elementary school.
In late May 2022, one of the reading corners CGWE is creating to support children to practice reading and writing in rural Ethiopia, Oromia, Walene Komto elementary school was completed. Thanks to Nekemte Rotary Club volunteers for their support in going to the countryside to create. It is very encouraging to have strong support and warmly welcome from the community …
